A concrete contractor on the other side of the world, built page by page from the search data.

Clutch Construction is a Bunbury, Western Australia concreter: polished, honed and burnished finishes, liquid limestone, driveways and paths, patios, house and shed foundations, and concrete furniture, for homeowners, builders and industrial sites across the South West. The domain was a parking page. I did the design, the build and the SEO, in English for Australia, from Belgrade.

Every page earned its place from Australian keyword exports before it was written. Demand turned out to be national and concentrated in the finishes - polished concrete, honed concrete, burnished concrete, liquid limestone - while Bunbury and South West concrete terms were close to zero. So the site has no thin suburb pages: service pages mapped to the finish terms, a polished-versus-honed-versus-burnished comparison hub, three pages by client type, and one Perth page for the only city with real volume. Local relevance comes from HomeAndConstructionBusiness schema with the service area, the town names in copy, and the Google Business Profile, not from doorway pages.

The build is static Next.js with content in MDX, Service, FAQPage and BreadcrumbList schema per page, and a quote form on Resend behind a honeypot and Turnstile, with a tap-to-call bar on mobile because a tradesperson’s conversion is the phone. Photos were not available at the start, so every image slot renders a labelled placeholder carrying its own shoot brief and generates a shot list for the client - a production build fails if a hero slot is still empty.

The design is monochrome, pinned to the client’s existing logo: a control-joint grid of hairlines, and the three finishes shown as positions on one grinding sequence from matte to mirror. Measured so far: 33 URLs, in Search Console since 30 September 2026. Too new for any traffic claim, and none is made.
